may take our lives, but freedom, ever.
Whatever you do, whatever they say,
whatever happens, we are and be free.
Free our children, our grandchildren free,
free Guayaquil, Ecuador, free.
Guayaquil, kneel only before God
Guayaquil, stand firm and fight,
as Liberty proclaims wrestle.
When your character furious bursts,
tyrants head tilts
and the throne glares of despots
revenge your whip angrily.
Guayaquil, lose your patience, dammit!
Guayaquil, Ecuador and saves save yourself!
